Yoga for Every Body!
I first encountered yoga in a seventeen magazine article when I was a teenager in the 1990's. I started further exploring the physical side of yoga (asana) after a lower back injury that wasn't getting better. I was uncomfortable with the medications I had been prescribed and found that modifying the poses could help with pain management and my healing process. For the next decade I started to delve deeper into yoga, learning about the different styles, starting to explore the meditative, and philosophical elements that were not widely discussed in the West at the time. In 2010 I took my first of many yoga teacher trainings. I have had the opportunity to teach in gyms, community centres, corporate events, privates, home for the aged and outdoors. I have my E-RYT500, RPYT designations. I am currently doing my practicum hours for an IAYT yoga therapy program with the hope of graduating late 2021/early 2022.
My goal have always been to come from a place of compassion and meet the student where they are.
